Become a “Friend of Ananda House”:

woman gardening under wisteria bloomWe are committed to keeping all of our residents with us through the end of life. Many will have worked for Ananda their entire lives and may have little, if any, savings. We want to make Ananda House available to all those who want the living environment that we provide, regardless of their ability to pay. Ananda House needs your support!

We invite you to become a “Friend of Ananda House.” With your assistance, we will be able to better care for those who have given their lives to God and now need a little help from God’s instruments. Please consider how you might be able to help our many friends and relations who will someday be in need of Ananda House. Whether your support comes by way of prayer, donations, volunteering, or just good thoughts, we appreciate any energy you can send our way.

Give a Gift on our Wish List:

P1060056A Dodge Ram Pro Master, with wheel chair lift, 13 passenger van. We have been making do with our 7 passenger van and now require more room: a wheelchair, and 2-3 walkers, as well as a portable step to get people in and out of the tall van. Often we must take 2 cars to accommodate our household for outings.

5’x 8’ trailer with sides and ramp for hauling our trash and recycling down the hill, and taking yard debris to the land fill.

Dishwasher: Hobart Advansys LXe High Temp Undercounter model to replace our old 1984 unit. A commercial short cycle sterilizer would be the best fit, for doing many dishes in a short amount of time. $6040.00, 23-3/4″ wide x 34″ tall.

Electric Stove, with “timed cook” feature, 29+3/4 wide x 36+3/4 tall.

LG DLe3050W Clothes Dryer, or Kenmore equivalent model #81282
—heavy duty, up for non-stop daily washing. $800. 29 wide x 27″ deep.

Bird Seed of all kinds—our residents love watching the birds and squirrels come close to the house.

Donations for our food forest: fruit trees, berry bushes, Mt. Hood strawberry plants. We recently had a maple tree fall in a wind storm, and take with it one of our fig trees, and the goji berries. Peach, pear, blueberries, fruits of all kinds.

We also have annual Seva Days (9:30am to 4:30pm) for participating in a joyful day of projects together:

Keeping our acre of grounds looking tidy takes a little help from our friends…Come for any part, or all of these work parties. We’ll be trimming trees, bushes, weeding, chipping beds, stacking wood, deep cleaning, preparing a vegetarian lunch and snacks for everyone, and making everything just look nice. Please call ahead if you know you are coming—this helps us with our lunch prep. If you didn’t call ahead, and then find you can come, just do! We’ll meditate together at 12:30, serve lunch at 1:00. Bring work gloves and tools if you have them, otherwise, just come join the fun!

We hold 3 Seva days each year: spring, summer and fall. Stay tuned for dates! Lunch and snacks provided. Come for any part you can, or join us for all day.

Annual Anniversary Open House: Labor Day Weekend.
